Emuaid Pain Relief Cream Review: Does It Really Work For Peripheral Neuropathy Relief?

April 28, 2019 by Kelly

Anyone looking for a simple, but effective treatment for the symptoms of neuropathy, will often be required to purchase 3 or 4 different medications which each treat a specific symptom such as inflammation, or nerve pain.

This creates the issue of it being highly inconvenient to have to apply or ingest each one, and there is also the stark reality that once you add up the costs of each individual ailment, it can leave your bank balance looking in need of first aid too.

One possible solution is a treatment which can address several issues associated with neuropathy and as it does not require a prescription, you can shop around for it.

Not only that, if you do decide to purchase it, it is only going to be a single cost, rather than several.

What is Emuaid?

Emuaid is a first aid ointment which is made in the US and it is primarily designed as a homeopathic treatment for several skin conditions and ailments. It is available as an over-the-counter medication which does not require a prescription.

It comes in two different sizes which are 2 ounces and 16 ounces.

The conditions which can be treated with the use of Emuaid include:

  • Inflammation
  • Infections (prevention)
  • Bed Sores
  • Poison Ivy
  • Dermatitis
  • Shingles
  • Eczema
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Lichen Sclerosis
  • Cellulitis
  • Fungal Infections
  • Diaper Rash

How Does It Work?

Emuaid is highly effective in the treatment of inflammation which those suffering with neuropathy can often be blighted with.

Emuaid can also be used as a topical analgesic to help reduce pain which is something neuropathy patients often have to contend with due to stiff joints and damaged nerves.

A major risk that neuropathy presents is that of infections, especially in the extremities of the hands and the feet. Emuaid can help  to prevent infection, and this is primarily achieved thanks to the antibiotic properties of the main active ingredient, which is based on colloidal silver.

One reason infections are a such a risk is due to potential open wounds which very often someone with peripheral neuropathy will often not even know exists until they actually see it with their eyes.

Colloidal Silver

As well as helping stop any infection, colloidal silver in Emuaid is very effective in helping wounds to heal, making the risk of infection disappear even quicker.

Emuaids' colloidal silver is also very effective at bringing relief from pain when it is applied as a topical analgesic. Where a neuropathy sufferer is experiencing pain in their nerves, via cramps in their muscles, or as a result of stiff joints, the colloidal silver in Emuaid should be able to reduce the pain in each circumstance and any other painful areas which neuropathy may have inflicted upon the patient.

Other ways in which Emuaid can work to alleviate the symptoms associated with neuropathy come as a result of ingredients other than colloidal silver.

Tea Tree Oil

One of the most impressive is tea tree oil which is well known for having many benefits. An important one in relation to neuropathy is its anti-inflammatory properties which can help supplement the pain relief which the colloidal silver is offering.

Tea tree oil is also antimicrobial which once again backs up the main ingredient in reducing the risk of infection by killing or preventing the growth of undesirables such as bacteria and fungi.

With a name like Emuaid , it would be remiss not to mention another way in which this medication can help neuropathy patients, and that is achieved by an ingredient called 'Emu Oil.'

Emu oil offers many health benefits which range from assisting with hair growth, to acting as a natural skin moisturizer. The moisturizing properties will be good news to neurology patients you whose feet can often become dry and cracked.

Emu oil is yet another natural substance that helps to reduce inflammation, and the benefits for neuropathy sufferers doesn't stop there because just like colloidal silver it is very effective at treating wounds due to the antioxidants it contains.

Ingredients

The ingredients in Emuaid are in two categories, namely active ingredients and inactive.

The primary active ingredient is called "Argentum metallicum." This a substance which is silver based and specifically it is colloidal silver, which means it is produced from the particles of silver which have been suspended in a liquid.

Colloidal silver is used in several medications which seek to provide relief from pain and discomfort, as well as aiding wounds to heal.

For centuries colloidal silver has been used as a natural antibiotic and is thus known as very effective at preventing infections.

The inactive ingredients list is below:

  • Allantoin
  • Bacillus ferment
  • Ceramide 3
  • Emu oil
  • Euphorbia cerifera (Candelilla) Wax
  • Glyceryl behenate
  • Hydrogenated Castor Oil
  • Lysine HCI
  • Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil
  • Olea Europaea fruit oil
  • Phytosphingosine
  • Silver citrate
  • Squalane
  • Tocopheryl acetate
  • Tribehenin
  • Vegetable Oil

While these are regarded as inactive in the sense that they do not impact upon the therapeutic properties of the active ingredient, Argentum metallicum, many of them have very desirable benefits, with tea tree oil and emu oil being of particular benefit to neuropathy patients, as we discussed in the previous section.

Studies

In a study conducted by 'Time Kill' which is an independent third party laboratory, Emuaid was proven to have killed mold, yeast and bacteria upon the first contact. More impressively Emuaid was proven to kill 99% of all the bacteria it encountered within 60 seconds.

Customer Reviews

There are certainly no shortages of reviews from Emuaid customers with multiple sites having a sufficient quantity of reviews to make a reasoned judgment on how well users of Emuaid rate it.

At Dermstore there are 47 reviews and all bar two of them give the product a maximum score of 5 stars. Some of the more recent comments include 'Miracle Worker', 'Miracle in a Jar,'  and 'Best First Aid Cream.'

The latter comment came from someone who has a persistent skin condition, and the first comment from someone who has suffered from cracked skin in their feet, which is often something neuropathy patients have to treat.

Over at Amazon, there have been 187 reviews left for the product with the majority of them being positive. Many of the positive reviews discuss Emuaid ’s healing qualities, its ability to alleviate inflammation, being able to treat fungal infections in a thumbnail, and very importantly it is was able to relieve pain for customers.

The final site we looked at for reviews is 'Shopper Approved' and here there are around 600 reviews. Again, the majority of them are positive, and many comments here back up what others have been saying in relation to Emuaid being able to treat a whole range of skin complaints including inflammation, cracked skin, infections, and providing pain relief.

Complaints

One of the common complaints that we found about Emuaid was nothing to do with whether or not it worked or was effective, but about the perceived high price of it.

Some customers also complained that they so no noticeable difference when they used Emuaid, and in particular some of those who were using to try to treat fungal infection in nails felt it did not work as well as they had hoped.

There are also some customers who saw  an adverse reaction on their skin when they applied Emuaid, although it must be pointed out that almost every topical medication will, unfortunately, have some patients whose skin reacts to one or more of the ingredients.

Final Conclusion

The ingredients which are present in Emuaid and specifically the properties of those ingredients being able to combat some of the specific complications which neuropathy can cause seem highly effective.

There is no doubting that there are many customers who are delighted with the results they have experienced from the use of Emuaid. Where this is most relevant for those who have neuropathy are in those reviews were infections, dry skin, inflammation, and pain were all alleviated or treated.

Unfortunately, it hasn't worked for everyone but given that overwhelming majority of those who reviewed it have done so positively, it bodes well for Emuaid 's ability to alleviate some of the symptoms associated with and created by neuropathy.

Where to Buy

Emuaid  is available in a multitude of outlets due to the fact that it is an over the counter medication that does not require a prescription. Many local pharmacies and larger supermarkets which have pharmacy departments inside them will likely stock Emuaid.

The fact no prescription is required also means that Emuaid is available for purchase online and there are several websites this can be done.

The most obvious one is Emuaid’s own website, and one of the advantages of visiting it is there is further information on the product including an FAQ page which might answer any questions you may have, and a customer review page where you can double check what others who used the product have experienced.

Another website you will find Emuaid for sale is Amazon, and while there may not be as much information here as on the Emuaid site, there is always the advantage of having it delivered within 24 hours to your home.

Other Supplements For Neuropathy

Topical nerve pain creams can provide temporary relief from the burning and tingling commonly associated with peripheral neuropathy. However, to get lasting, long-term relief, you must incorporate other methods into your treatment regimen.

One popular supplement is Nerve Renew, a product by the company Life Renew (formerly known as the Neuropathy Treatment Group), which has a good online reputation and clinically studied ingredients that support nerve health.
